INFORMATION & EXHIBITS

OUR STAFF

Our staff will do thier best to make you feel welcome. Feel free to ask questions about Provincetown, it's shops, restaurants and other local attractions. We want your visit to our town to be a memorable part of your vacation. Let us help you find activities and points of interest you and your group are looking for.

WHAT TO BRING WHALE WATCHING

You'll be out on the open ocean for 3-4 hours so you should bring sun block, sunglasses (polorized if you want to see the whales clearly through the water) and perhaps some warmer cloths. Wear sneakers or shoes with good traction. Don't forget a camera to share your experiance with others back home. Binoculars for closer views of whales, birds and the Provincetown scenery. If you forget anything don't worry we have everything you need at the Information Center.

WHALEWATCHING WITH DOLPHIN FLEET

Don't be misled, not all whalewatches are alike. Dolphin Fleet whale watch is like no other whale watch on the east coast. Our naturalist's are by far some of the most experienced naturalists in this field and can answer questions about the whales, birds and marine habitat your exploring.

There is more to do than just watching whales on our trips. You can follow along with a chart plotting program, following the boat as it travels though Cape Cod Bay and onto the Stellwagen Bank Sanctuary or try one of the many activities we have in store for you and your group. To see more go to the trip details page.

GIFTS & COLLECTABLES

Our Information Center has many collectable's, gifts, jewelry and whale watching items you'll want as keepsakes of your visit to

Finely crafted sterling silver and gold jewelry can be purchased at our information center. We have selected many designs with Cape Cod, nature and marine life in mind.

Mixed Media limited edition sculptures are also a great choice for those collectors of fine arts. Creations from highly respected artists such as Wyland, Kitty Cantrell, Christopher Pardell,John Cuevas and other artists have been selected to bring you what we think is a selection of fine art.

Scrimshaw is also a traditional form of artwork here in New England. In the past whalers would often carve ivory to make time pass while on their voyage. Scratching the surface of the tooth then rubbing ink onto the ivory would create beautiful creations. We offer replications of such historical artwork that was done and offer it here in our giftshop.

To view and understand nature, field guides and other books are available. We have books selected for all age groups and needs. If we don't have the book on wildlife you're looking for just let us know and we'll do the best we can to find it for you.

  • Your pet must be friendly! If they are having a bad day or if they are not good in a crowd, it's a good idea if they stay home while your on the trip.
