First trip April 16, 2005
The first whale watch trip for the 2005 season was a lot of fun. Good weather and calm seas kept us all happy for the first cruise. The first sighting was off Race Point in Provincetown with a scattered group of white-sided dolphins. 10 to 20 in all. There was also quite a few harbor porpoise within the area. As we left Cape Cod Bay we saw a spout of a finback in the distance. We searched the Stellwagen Bank area and came across another finback. The afternoon trip was a nice trip as well with more white-sided dolphins, harbor porpoise and a humpback whale that came into the area. All and all a fun way to start the season.
